If you’re missing teeth, you may have a difficult time speaking and chewing. In addition, you may feel self-conscious every time you smile. While dentures can resolve these issues, you may be hesitant to receive them because of the hassle and discomfort they often bring.*
Dentures are typically placed with traditional dental implants that require bone grafting and months of healing. Fortunately, Dr. Amin Samadian can use the All on Four or Smile in a Day dental technique. Compared to traditional implant surgery, it involves fewer implants and can save you a great deal of time. All on Four can provide you with a full set of teeth without multiple surgeries and general anesthesia.*
All on Four takes your dentures and places in most cases four dental implants in each of your arches so that your implants can integrate with your jawbone and create a firm hold. Fewer dental implants allow for less discomfort and faster healing times and it can avoid aggressive bone grafting and sinus procedures in severe bone loss cases while delivering the same result.
In a similar technique called All in Six, we use six dental implants to support your dentures. With All on Six, four implants are placed in the front of your jaw while two implants are placed at an angle in the back.
Dr. Amin Samadian may recommend All on Four if you have extensive tooth loss and are a good candidate for dentures yet are worried about the common issues that come with traditional dentures such as looseness and adhesives. He and his team of experts will work with you to establish a plan that will work best for your specific needs.*
Another very common reason for receiving All on Four implant-supported hybrid dentures is when patients have multiple missing teeth and multiple loose teeth and the remaining teeth are not good support to receive conventional bridges. In these cases both financially and cosmetically is makes more sense to take all the teeth out and give the patients one implant-supported prosthetic that can bring them optimal symmetry, color match, smile design, and function.*

Since it’s minimally invasive and uses oral sedation, the recovery period is simple. The sedation should wear off in about 4 to 5 hours after the procedure so you will need to ask a loved one to drive you home. You’ll also be required to follow a liquid and soft food diet for a few days.*
If you have dentures and no teeth, recovery will be very minimal. In the event you do notice any immediate pain and swelling, pain medications can help. You’ll be able to resume work within two to three days.*
However, if you have teeth and bone grafting is required, your healing period will be about three weeks. You’ll return home with a temporary denture and wait about six months for the implants to integrate with your bone. After this period, you’ll come back to our office so that Dr. Amin Samadian can place your final denture. You’ll be prescribed antibiotics and an antimicrobial mouthwash.*
All on Four can allow you to re-establish your chewing function, prevent bone loss, and achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. You’ll find that Smile in a Day alleviates the hassle and discomfort that dentures often bring*. You’ll be able to eat and drink as you normally would and find that with proper care (brushing, flossing, and routine dental visits), your All on Four implants last a lifetime.*
