To provide same-day crowns, Dr. Amin Samadian uses Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology, which makes it possible to design, fit, fabricate and secure a dental crown in just one visit. CEREC eliminates the need for messy impression trays and creates a custom fit and natural-looking dental restoration. The whole process takes just under two hours.
All the crowns are custom colored based on unique features of your teeth and they are extremely conservative since we are able to deliver crowns as thin as .8 mm. In most cases, if you have old fillings that need to be upgraded with crowns, Dr. Samadian doesn’t need to touch any of your “good” tooth structure and only the previous filling and the undermined tooth structure will be replaced.
Since local anesthesia is administered before the CEREC same-day crown treatment, you don’t have to worry about any pain and discomfort. Compared to the traditional crown treatment, CEREC is far more comfortable.
